معرفی
Jason Alexander is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bath, affiliated with the Bath Institute for the Augmented Human. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), particularly shape-changing interfaces and data physicalization. He has held prior roles as Senior Lecturer at Lancaster University and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bristol's Bristol Interaction and Graphics (BIG) group. His work bridges digital and physical domains, emphasizing novel interactive systems for education, healthcare, and everyday environments.
Education:
- Ph.D. in HCI and Multimedia, University of Canterbury
- Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Bristol
- Senior Lecturer, Lancaster University
Research Interests: Alexander explores shape-changing surfaces, haptic feedback, and gestural interaction. His recent projects include Data Physicalization (converting data into physical form) and interactive systems for anatomical education. He investigates how physical interfaces can enhance user experience in fields like mental health and robotics.
Grants & Projects:
- Pro2 Network+: From Prototyping to Production of Digital Devices (EPSRC, 2023–2027)
- FORCE-UI JA ERC (EU, 2020–2025)
Lab & Teams: His work is conducted through the Bath Institute for the Augmented Human, fostering collaborations across engineering, design, and healthcare disciplines.
