Prof. Dr. Jasmina Popovska is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Philosophy within the Faculty of Philosophy at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje. She teaches courses on Ancient Philosophy, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy, and the Interpretation of the History of Philosophy at both BA and MA levels, and co-teaches doctoral seminars on Byzantine philosophy and the concept of Logos in antiquity.
Her research focuses on the history of ancient, medieval (Western European and Byzantine), and Renaissance philosophy, with a particular emphasis on methodological approaches to philosophical history. She has explored topics such as φρόνησις in Aristotle and St. Maximus the Confessor, Stoic ethics, and the intersection of philosophical traditions with contemporary issues like medical ethics.
She has received the JFDP Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State, enabling research at Florida State University's Department of Philosophy. She has held leadership roles as Secretary General of the Philosophical Society of Macedonia (2011–2013) and Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty of Philosophy Annual Journal (2016–2020). Additionally, she co-founded the Philosophical Film Festival.
