Dr. Jarrod Knibbe is a Senior Lecturer in Interaction Design at the University of Queensland's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His research focuses on novel interactive technologies, particularly in Haptics for Extended Reality, Smart Clothing for Muscle Control, and embodied interaction design. He has published extensively in top venues like CHI, UIST, and ISMAR, with over 40 peer-reviewed articles.
Knibbe's research integrates device engineering, human perception studies, and user experience evaluation. His work spans wearable technologies, VR/AR systems, and embodied learning interfaces. Notable contributions include innovations in electric muscle stimulation calibration, haptic feedback systems, and mixed-reality visualization techniques.
