Jarosław Meisner

Professor Jarosław Meisner is a distinguished musician and faculty member at the Gdańsk Academy of Music's Faculty of Instrumental Music. He holds a habilitation (dr hab.) and currently serves as principal trombonist of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk since 2018. Previously, he was employed as a trombonist at the Józef Elsner Opole Philharmonic (2014–2017) and passed entrance exams for the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice in 2017.

His academic background includes studies at the Primary/Secondary Music School in Bytom under Professor Paweł Waloszczyk and a master's degree from the Katowice Academy of Music under Professor Michał Mazurkiewicz (2018). He is currently completing doctoral studies at his alma mater. Meisner has received prestigious scholarships, including the Yamaha Europe Scholarship and multiple Rector's awards for academic excellence.

As a performer, he collaborates with renowned orchestras such as Sinfonietta Cracovia, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of Tychy, and the Polish Film Music Orchestra. He has performed under conductors like Krzysztof Penderecki and Alexander Liebreich, and his solo engagements include performances with the Silesian Philharmonic and Vilnius Chamber Orchestra.

His awards span international competitions, reflecting expertise in wind and brass performance. Meisner's career combines academic teaching with elite orchestral and solo activities, emphasizing contemporary and classical repertoire.
