Jaroslav Alt

Jaroslav Alt is an Associate Professor at the Department of Theory of Art and Artworks within the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University. He also contributes to master’s-level teaching at the Faculty of Restoration, Pardubice University.

Research Focus: Specializing in Painting, Graphic Art, and Drawings, his work centers on art restoration, cultural heritage conservation, and historical documentation. His projects include church renovations and interdisciplinary collaborations in heritage preservation.

Notable Projects:

• Co-author of Contemporary Theory of Conservation (2015) with Martina Poláková
• Key role in the 2001–2008 restoration of the Church of the Assumption of Our Lady in Sedlec
• Editorial work for SCHOLIA and e-Monumentica journals
