Jarkko Tolvanen holds a D.Sc. (Tech.) degree and is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, affiliated with the Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering and the Microelectronics Research Unit within the Infotech Oulu Entity project. He also works part-time as a Research Assistant at the University of Jyväskylä since 2008.
- Education: M.Sc. (Tech.) and D.Sc. (Tech.) in Electrical Engineering (University of Oulu, 2015 and 2018)
Research Interests include:
- Microelectronics and Nanotechnology
- Wearable ICT applications
- Wellbeing Technology and health measurement systems
- New materials (e.g., steel) for technological applications
