Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jarir Aktaa is the Head of the Mechanics of Materials 2 group at the Institute for Applied Materials - Mechanics of Materials and Interfaces (IAM-MMI) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His research focuses on materials mechanics, joining technologies, and computational modeling, with applications in additive manufacturing and fusion materials.
