Jared Hanson-Park is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Texas A&M University. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Miami (2022), an M.A. from Western Michigan University (2017), and a B.A. in Humanities from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2015). His research focuses on the scientific realism debate in philosophy of science, particularly structural realism, and the philosophy of Bertrand Russell, with expertise in epistemology and metaphysics.
His work explores questions of scientific knowledge, evidence, and the preservation of structural elements across theoretical frameworks. Notable contributions include analyzing structural preservation through case studies like the transition from Newtonian gravity to Einstein’s general relativity. He advocates for an agnostic stance toward unobservable objects within epistemic structural realism, emphasizing naturalized metaphysics and the limits of scientific inquiry.
Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Introduction to Philosophy and Theory of Knowledge. His scholarly affiliations include the Texas A&M Department of Philosophy, with publications in European Journal for Philosophy of Science and Global Philosophy.
