Jared C Bronski is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where he also serves as Director of Graduate Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Princeton University (1994). His research focuses on applied mathematics, particularly nonlinear wave propagation, stability of waves and coherent structures, and mathematical physics. Key areas include eigenvalue analysis, Kuramoto models, and partial differential equations. Bronski has received prestigious awards such as the Simons Fellowship in Mathematics (2012) and the Sloan Research Fellowship (2001).
His recent work explores Hamiltonian PDEs, superharmonic instabilities in long-wave models, and synchronization phenomena in the Kuramoto model. He collaborates internationally on topics like network generation using coherent configurations and stability of traveling wave solutions. Bronski’s contributions bridge theoretical frameworks with applied mathematical modeling, emphasizing interdisciplinary relevance.
