Janusz Filipiak

Dr. Janusz Filipiak is Head of the Department of Meteorology and Climatology at the Faculty of Biology, Geography and Oceanology, University of Gdańsk. He is an active researcher in historical climatology, climate change, and polar climate systems, with extensive contributions to climate data reconstruction and variability analysis in Poland and the Baltic region.

The analysis of his recent publications reveals a consistent focus on regional climate change in northern Poland, urban climate effects, varved lake sediments as climate proxies, and global climate data rescue initiatives.
