Janneke Berecki-Gisolf is an Associate Professor at Monash University Accident Research Centre, serving as Director of the Victorian Injury Surveillance Unit. She holds a medical degree and PhD (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam, and has led 19 projects since 2011.

Research Focus: Specializing in injury epidemiology and occupational/environmental health, her work spans data linkage studies (Medicare, Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, hospital records), bushfire health impacts, drowning trends, and injury surveillance systems. Recent projects include developing NORTISS (National Occupational Road Transport Injury Surveillance System) and evaluating the Safe Seats, Safe Kids program.
