Janine Klimke

Janine Klimke is a researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI) in the department of Polar Terrestrial Environmental Systems. She holds a B.Sc. and BTA qualification. Her work focuses on polar environmental systems, particularly permafrost dynamics, climate change impacts, and terrestrial ecosystems in Arctic and polar regions. She is affiliated with the AWI's research facilities in Potsdam, contributing to long-term observations and interdisciplinary studies on environmental changes.
