معرفی
Janina Sprenger is a Researcher in the Chemistry Department at the University of Copenhagen. She holds a LINXS Fellowship and participates in the Integrative Structural Biology at the University of Copenhagen (ISBUC) research cluster.
Her research centers on structural biology and biophysics, specifically developing the HOSTAL crystal host system for X-ray diffraction-based structure determination of biomolecules without conventional crystallization. This involves method development for crystal diffusion processes, solving protein fragment structures with low occupancy/high flexibility, and statistical analysis of Bragg reflections and diffuse scattering. Additional work includes protein-ligand interaction studies for medical applications using crystallography, binding/activity assays, drug design, enzymology, enzyme kinetics modeling, and scattering/imaging techniques.
Her scientific recognition includes:
- LINXS Fellowship
Research is funded by the Villum Experiment grant. No student advising information is available in source materials.
She contributes to collaborative initiatives through ISBUC and the LINXS community, focusing on integrative structural biology methodologies.
