Janice Fournillier is a tenured Professor at Georgia State University's College of Education & Human Development. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Georgia with additional certification in Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies.
Her research examines qualitative methodologies through cultural and postcolonial lenses, focusing on teaching/learning in non-school contexts including Trinidad Carnival traditions. She teaches qualitative research methods and writes extensively on program evaluation frameworks. Her autoethnographic work explores academic identity formation within postcolonial contexts.
Recent publications analyze epistemological challenges in collaborative research, intersectional leadership experiences, and doctoral advisement in neoliberal academia. Her scholarship consistently addresses power dynamics in knowledge production and culturally situated pedagogies.
