معرفی
Jani Oksanen is a Senior Scientist and Research Fellow at the Department of Neuroscience and Biomedical Engineering, Aalto University. He holds a Doctoral degree (2006) and Master's degree (2001) in Engineering and Technology from Helsinki University of Technology. His research focuses on optoelectronics, semiconductor physics, and advanced materials science, with a particular emphasis on light-emitting diodes, gallium arsenide devices, and thermophotonics. Dr. Oksanen leads multiple EU-funded projects such as COOLED (2025–2029) and FREEZE (2024–2029), exploring optical refrigeration and cryogenic cooling technologies.
His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to affordable and clean energy. Key research areas include thin-film optoelectronics, semiconductor surface engineering, and renewable energy systems. Recent studies have addressed light management in LEDs, chemovoltaic fuel generation, and resonance effects in nanostructured devices.
Dr. Oksanen has supervised 4 theses and actively participates in international conferences (e.g., SPIE Photonics West, Photonics Europe). His research has led to over 145 publications and collaborations across multiple countries, advancing innovations in solar cell efficiency and photonic energy conversion technologies.
