Dr. Janet Zydney is a Professor in the Department of Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Cincinnati's School of Education. She specializes in technology-based scaffolding in online and multimedia environments to enhance problem-solving and critical thinking, particularly for students with disabilities and diverse learning needs. Her work emphasizes inclusive learning environments and universal design principles.
Dr. Zydney holds a Ph.D. in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in special education technology at the University of Kentucky. She teaches courses on design-based research, learning sciences, and technology integration in education.
Her research focuses on leveraging technology to overcome educational barriers, including studies on citizen science projects, virtual tutoring systems, and protocols for online discussions.
