Janet Paluh is Associate Professor in Nanoscale Science & Engineering at University at Albany's College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering. Her research applies neurotechnologies to understand neurodevelopment and repair in CNS/PNS systems, utilizing ethnically diverse iPSC lines for patient-specific therapeutics. Current investigations cover spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and neurodegenerative axonopathies/synaptopathies.
Research integrates nanotechnology, 3D bioengineering, computational neuroscience and AI to study neural circuitry via human gastruloids/organoids. Collaborative projects include developing artificial synapse models for Autism Spectrum Disorder and scaling biomanufacturing for personalized medicine.
