Janet Mullin is an Honorary Research Associate in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and an Assistant Professor in the Department of History at St. Thomas University. She specializes in medieval and early-modern European history, with a research focus on 18th-century English gaming culture. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as History 1008 (Belief Systems in Medieval Europe), History 3034 (The Viking World), History 3975 (History of the Life Sciences), and History 4002 (Europe in the Renaissance).
Dr. Mullin holds a doctoral degree and is a proud UNB alumna. Her academic contributions have been recognized with the 2021-2022 Faculty of Arts Excellence in Part-Time Teaching Award.
Her research interests span interdisciplinary historical themes, including the cultural and social dimensions of early-modern Europe, the intersection of science and history, and the Viking Age's cultural legacy. She actively engages with historical education and pedagogy, reflecting her commitment to academic outreach.
