Janet Miron is Associate Professor of History at Trent University researching suicide in Canada, Indigenous-settler relations, and institutional histories of asylums/prisons. Her current project examines suicide from the late 18th to 20th centuries and Indigenous knowledge in geological surveys.
Education includes PhD and MA from York University, and BA from McGill University. Publications explore coroner's inquests, institutional visiting practices, and human rights history.
