Janet Huetteman serves as Graduate Chair of Management and Marketing and Associate Professor of Marketing at Lasell University's Longe School of Business, bringing extensive industry experience from 25+ years in management consulting with global corporations including GE, Raytheon, and Ricoh Corporation.
Her educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from Fairfield University (2011) and a B.A. in Psychology, Marketing, and Fine Arts from Boston College (1984). She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society.
Dr. Huetteman's research focuses on Marketing, Branding, and Customer Experience with specialization in Change Management, Six Sigma methodologies, and strategic communications. She developed the Brand Admiration Model (BAM) and researches online teaching effectiveness, emphasizing practical applications through proprietary tools for organizational growth and performance improvement.
Her consulting career features landmark projects including GE's global change initiative for 500+ marketing professionals, development of the MarComm Toolkit and Acquisition Integration Framework, and direct-to-consumer launch of GE Funds. She teaches core courses including Marketing Communications (BUSS 322), Business Negotiations (BUSS 313), and Marketing (BUSS 220) using an interactive, student-centered approach that develops strategic thinking and team collaboration skills.
Professional highlights include leadership roles at GE Corporate supporting Jack Welch's boundaryless initiative, brand positioning for GE Supply's 100+ retail branches, and consulting for First Union, Wahlstrom Group, and Fairfield University.
