Janet Canamar is a scientific illustrator and researcher at the Jackson School of Geosciences, The University of Texas at Austin. Born in Mesquite, Texas, she combines her artistic talents with geoscience research, working in the Clarke Lab, the Perot Museum's vertebrate collections, and as Artist-in-Residence for the National Park Service-Paleontological Society.
