Janet C. Gornick is Professor of Political Science and Sociology at the City University of New York Graduate Center, where she holds the James M. and Cathleen D. Stone Distinguished Chair in Socio-Economic Inequality. She has been a faculty member since 1994 and currently serves as Director of the Stone Center on Socio-Economic Inequality, which houses the US Office of LIS (Luxembourg Income Study). Previously, she directed LIS from 2006 to 2016.
Gornick's research focuses on comparative analysis of social welfare policies and their impacts on:
