Jane Yuan

Jane Yuan, M.D., Ph.D. is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at Mayo Clinic's Alix School of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida. Her clinical expertise focuses on the diagnosis of lymphoproliferative disorders, with extensive research in hematopathology and molecular diagnostics of hematologic malignancies.

Dr. Yuan completed her Hematopathology fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2013 and her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Georgia Regents University in 2011. She is board certified in both Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (2012) and Hematopathology (2024) by the American Board of Pathology, demonstrating her comprehensive expertise in general and specialized pathology.

Her research spans lymphoma, leukemia, and molecular pathology with particular emphasis on mantle cell lymphoma, acute leukemias with specific genetic mutations, and plasmablastic lymphoma. Analysis of her publication record shows consistent contributions to understanding the genomic landscape of hematologic malignancies and developing improved diagnostic approaches.

Dr. Yuan holds leadership positions in multiple professional organizations including serving as Leadership Committee Member of the Chinese American Pathologists Association (2023-present), Abstract Review Board Member for the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (2022-present), and active participation in Mayo Clinic's Lymphoma Working Group and Myeloid Working Group. Her commitment to equity and inclusion is demonstrated through her service on the DLMP-MCS Equity, Inclusion and Diversity Committee as both Executive Committee Member and Subcommittee Lead (2022-2024).
