Jane Tiedt

Jane Tiedt, Ph.D., R.N., is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Gonzaga University, with a focus on diabetes, population health, and Indigenous health disparities. Her work bridges clinical practice, nursing education, and cultural competence, particularly in Native American communities.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Clinical Nursing Science with a minor in American Indian Studies, Indiana University

Her research centers on diabetes in Native Americans, informed by ethnographic studies with the Coeur d’Alene tribe and international work in Liberia. Publications reveal trends in nursing education innovation, stress-diabetes relationships, and culturally tailored interventions.
