Jane Stoll is a Senior Lecturer in Private Law at Karlstad University, Sweden. Her teaching portfolio includes Family Law, Social Welfare Law, Tort Law, Medical Law, Criminal Law, Contract Law, Freedom of Speech/Freedom of the Press, and Administrative Law. Her research focuses on assisted reproduction law, legal parenthood, surrogacy arrangements, and children's right to genetic origins information. She has authored books and contributed to edited volumes addressing these topics in international and Nordic contexts.
Her work critically examines Sweden’s compliance with international human rights obligations regarding donor offspring rights and challenges posed by surrogacy. She co-authored annual Nordic Council of Ministers reports on biotechnology legislation from 2014-2017, analyzing regulatory trends across Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
