Jane Shtaynberg

Jane Shtaynberg serves as the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education at Fairleigh Dickinson University's College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from Long Island University and transitioned from community and hospital pharmacy practice to academia. At FDU, she oversees experiential education, contributes to curricular development, and teaches courses such as the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience, Introduction to Pharmacy Law, and Integrated Pharmaceutical Care Lab. She has extensive experience managing programs with over 800 students and 500 preceptors.

Her research and professional interests focus on experiential education, interprofessional collaboration, and mental health and wellness education in pharmacy practice. She has actively participated in national organizations such as AACP, ASHP, and ACCP, presenting at conferences like the Nexus Summit and contributing to publications in journals including the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Pharmacy Times.

Dr. Shtaynberg has received the President’s Grant from the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation and chaired the Experiential Education Section Task Force for APPE assessment best practices. She also serves on multiple committees and task forces at FDU and nationally.
