Jane Mowll

Dr Jane Mowll is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social Sciences, part of the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). She holds a BSW and PhD from UNSW and specializes in social work and counseling practices, with a focus on grief, loss, and bereavement, particularly in cases involving coronial death and palliative care.

Her research emphasizes qualitative studies on bereavement experiences, including family dynamics after death, end-of-life care, and trauma. She has published extensively on topics such as grief affinities, shame in childhood abuse survivors, and support for families during forensic death investigations.
