Dr. Jane Lutken is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Western Carolina University (WCU), affiliated with the College of Education and Allied Professions. Her research focuses on cognitive mechanisms underlying language learning and use, particularly syntax acquisition, cognitive development, and cross-linguistic variation in wh-question formation. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins University, an MA in Linguistics from Newcastle University, and a BA in English from Whitman College.
