Professor Jane Hodson is the Head of the School of English at the University of Sheffield. Her research focuses on the intersection of language and literature, particularly dialect representation in historical contexts and the sociopolitical dimensions of linguistic style. She holds a PhD from the University of Sheffield, following undergraduate and graduate studies at Leeds and Cambridge Universities.
