Jane Frecknall-Hughes is Professor of Revenue Law and Head of Accounting at Nottingham University Business School, University of Nottingham. As a chartered accountant and tax consultant (KPMG), she brings interdisciplinary expertise to taxation research spanning law, history, and ethics.
Research examines historical foundations of revenue systems, including post-revolution American taxation (2024) and ethical conflicts in tax practice. Authored seminal textbook The Theory, Principles and Management of Taxation, analyzing tax system design and compliance frameworks.
