Dr. Jane Fowler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Simon Fraser University, specializing in Environmental Microbiology. Her research focuses on water quality, microbial biotechnology, and biological treatment systems, with an emphasis on understanding microbial communities in drinking water and wastewater systems.
Education:
- BSc (Honours) in Biology, University of Calgary, 2007

- Ecology and management of microbial communities in engineered systems
