Jane DeRose Evans

Jane DeRose Evans is a Professor of Art History at Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture, with over twenty years of teaching experience. She specializes in Roman provincial art and material culture, numismatic analysis, and cultural heritage ethics, conducting fieldwork across the Mediterranean including Turkey, Israel, Jordan, and France.

• AB in Greek and Latin Classics (Franklin and Marshall College)

Research Focus spans Roman provincial economies through coin analysis, cultural memory in numismatic iconography, and ethical considerations in archaeological heritage. Her work connects Mediterranean trade networks with material culture studies from the Roman Republic through Late Antiquity.
