Dr. Jana Hickman serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Baylor University's Robbins College of Health & Human Sciences, teaching in both the Entry Level and Post-Professional OTD Programs. With 26 years of clinical experience across inpatient rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, home health, outpatient, and school-based settings, she brings extensive practical expertise to her academic role.

Research Interests: Dr. Hickman's work centers on executive functioning deficits in school-age students, developing metacognitive strategies to improve organizational skills, and integrating functional life skills into Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Her research bridges clinical practice with educational frameworks to address neurodevelopmental challenges in K-12 settings.
Professional Activities: Founder of Going Places Occupational Therapy Services, PLLC, which delivers school-based occupational therapy to students aged 3-21 across multiple northwest Oklahoma school districts. She maintains over 20 years of specialized experience in educational settings while contributing to occupational therapy education through Baylor's OTD programs.
