Jana Gliwa

Dr. Jana Gliwa is a researcher at the Freie Universität Berlin's Department of Earth Sciences, specializing in paleontology and environmental reconstruction. She leads the DFG-funded project 'Lakes and Climate of Central Asia: Ostracod-based reconstructions of limnology and climate in the Lake Baikal region over the last 50,000 years.' Her work integrates stable isotopes, ostracods, diatoms, and chironomids to analyze past climate and environmental changes, often linking these to archaeological evidence of early human activity in Siberia and Central Asia.
