Prof. Jan Weinhold is a full professor of Counseling Psychology and Coaching at the German University of Health and Sport (DHGS) in Berlin since 2018/2019, previously serving as a visiting professor since 2017. He holds a PhD in Medical Psychology from Heidelberg University (2011) and specialized in clinical and organizational psychology at Humboldt University. His professional training includes systemic therapy (Helm-Stierlin Institute) and NLP/hypnosystemic methods (Milton Erickson Institute).
His research focuses on coaching methodologies, systemic interventions, organizational culture transformation, and ritual dynamics. Key contributions include studies on systemic constellations' efficacy, substance abuse prevention tools, and organizational agility frameworks. His work bridges clinical psychology, cultural studies, and business management.
Prof. Weinhold has led projects under DFG's SFB 'Ritualdynamik', investigating ritual efficacy and health psychology prevention strategies. He has collaborated with institutions like the Brandenburg Agency for Substance Abuse Issues and authored/co-edited works on addiction diagnostics, systemic therapy, and agile organizational design.
His professional roles span academic teaching, organizational consulting, and supervision training since 2007. He has advised projects in tertiary prevention of alcohol dependence and opioid substitution therapies while maintaining an interdisciplinary approach to psychological research.
