Dr Jan-Ulrich Kreft is an Associate Professor in Computational Biology at the University of Birmingham's School of Biosciences, UK. He leads the Kreft Lab, focusing on microbial interactions and spatial structure in biofilms and microbial communities using individual-based modelling and experimental approaches. His research spans biofilm dynamics, cooperation in microbial populations, and antimicrobial resistance.
