Jan-Henrik Meyer

Dr. Jan-Henrik Meyer is a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin and has studied History, Politics, Sociology, and European Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin, London School of Economics, and Duke University. Previously, he held positions as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Aarhus University, University of Copenhagen, and other institutions. His work focuses on the intersection of political history and environmental studies within European integration contexts.

Meyer's research connects two primary fields: the political history of European integration (examining politics, law, and institutional development) and environmental history (analyzing societal relationships with natural environments). His investigations span environmental policy formation, energy law evolution, and transnational activism, with special emphasis on nuclear energy's societal impacts.
