Jan Guldager Jørgensen

Jan Guldager Jørgensen is a Professor and Vice Dean at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU). He holds a PhD and is actively engaged in research and academic leadership. His work is centered on international economic issues, with strong ties to policy and integration in Europe.

His research focuses on International Economics, Globalization, Trade Policy, and European Economic Integration. He has published extensively on trade models, firm heterogeneity, tariff reduction, and welfare effects. His work often bridges theoretical models with real-world policy implications, particularly in the context of European integration and global trade dynamics.

Jan Guldager Jørgensen has served as Principal Investigator on the research project Sick of Shocks to Homes, Jobs and Stock (2013–2016), demonstrating his role in securing and leading research initiatives. He has supervised and co-taught courses such as International Economics and The Economics of European Integration, indicating active involvement in graduate and undergraduate education.

He has participated in numerous academic activities, including conferences like EARIE and ECSA, hosted guest researchers, and contributed to public discourse through 42 media appearances, often discussing education and social sciences at SDU. He has also held board duties and delivered talks in public and private sectors.
