معرفی
Jan Clemens is a Researcher and Group Leader of the Emmy-Noether group at the European Neuroscience Institute (ENI), affiliated with Georg-August-University Göttingen. He leads the 'Neural Computation and Behavior' group, focusing on how acoustic communication signals drive animal behavior. His work combines experimental and computational approaches to study neural mechanisms in insects like Drosophila and crickets.
Education:
- PhD in Computational Neuroscience, Humboldt University of Berlin (2012)
- Postdoctoral Fellow, Princeton University (2012–2017)
Research Interests:
- Acoustic signal processing in sensory systems
- Neural circuits underlying behavior
- Genetic and computational tools for neural analysis
Lab & Tools: The lab develops open-source tools like DAS (Deep Audio Segmenter) for acoustic signal analysis and collaborates on projects involving behavioral neuroscience and neuroethology.
