Jan Brzozowski is a Professor at Jagiellonian University and Head of the Department of Research on Social Changes in Europe. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Migration Research Committee at the Polish Academy of Sciences and serves on multiple editorial boards, including as Editor-in-Chief of Migration Studies - Polonia Review.

Brzozowski’s research focuses on international migration, immigrant entrepreneurship, socioeconomic adaptation, transnationalism, and multiculturalism. His work examines the impact of migration on both host and origin countries, including refugee adaptation, return migration, and immigrant business performance.
Recent projects include: Refugee entrepreneurship and socio-economic adaptation (OPUS), MICLACAS (Latin American migration crisis), and FUME: Future Migration Scenarios for Europe (Horizon 2020). His publications span journals like International Migration Review, Plos one, and European Urban and Regional Studies.
