Prof. Jan Broersen is a Professor of Logical Methods in Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University's Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, within the Faculty of Humanities. He holds the chair in 'Logic-based methods in artificial intelligence' and delivered his inaugural lecture in 2020. His research focuses on responsible AI, knowledge representation, and logic theories of agency, integrating mathematical logic with philosophical inquiry.
