Jan Breuer

Jan Breuer is a Lecturer in gymnastics at the Department of Sport Science within the Faculty of Psychology and Sport Science at Bielefeld University. He has held this position since 2015, teaching GK Gymnastics I courses, and has simultaneously taught at Steinhagen Gymnasium since 2017.

His research interests include:

• Calisthenics and systematic strength training approaches
• Integration of physical education with democratic principles
• Workshop development for teacher training in political education

Breuer's scholarly work examines systematic approaches to whole-body calisthenics training, with a forthcoming publication scheduled for January 2025. His research demonstrates a unique interdisciplinary approach that bridges physical training methodologies with civic education principles.

His current professional activities include:
