Professor Jamie Medhurst is a leading scholar in media and broadcasting history at Aberystwyth University, where he has held roles as Professor of Film and Media, Department Head, and Director of Research. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and Higher Education Academy, his work focuses on broadcasting history, media policy, and Welsh cultural identity. He has authored numerous publications, including The Early Years of Television and the BBC, and leads projects like the AHRC-funded 'Broadcasting Policy in a Devolved UK.' Medhurst is Editor-in-Chief of Media History and contributes to national and international advisory boards.
