Jamie Martin is an Assistant Professor of History and Social Studies at Harvard University, specializing in international history with a focus on political economy and empire during the world wars era.
His research examines global economic governance, international institutions, and the socioeconomic impacts of conflict, particularly through his acclaimed work on post-WWI financial systems. He explores intersections of trade, commodities, and intellectual crisis frameworks across Western Europe, the Balkans, Latin America, China, and colonial Southeast Asia.
