Dr. Jameson Graber is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Baylor University's College of Arts & Sciences. He joined Baylor in 2016 after postdoctoral research at ENSTA ParisTech (2014–2016) and the University of Texas at Dallas (2016–2018). His research focuses on nonlinear partial differential equations, particularly in control theory, optimization, and mean field game theory.
Education: PhD, University of Virginia (2012; advisor: Irena Lasiecka); BS, Washington and Lee University (2008).
Research Interests: Nonlinear PDEs, optimal control, mean field games, and their applications to economics and engineering. He investigates models such as Hamilton-Jacobi equations, acoustic wave equations, and market competition dynamics.
Grants & Awards:
- NSF CAREER Award (2021–2026): $2.4M to study mean field games with economic applications
- Co-PI on NSF DMS Grants (2016–2022): $438K total for mean field control theory projects
Labs/Initiatives: Leads the Baylor Applied Math Seminar, which hosts talks on applied mathematics topics like PDEs and numerical analysis. Recent speakers include experts from institutions such as Oxford, Drexel, and UMass Dartmouth.
