James H. Stock is the Harold Hitchings Burbank Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University, affiliated with the Harvard Kennedy School. His research focuses on macroeconomic forecasting, monetary policy, and econometric methods for analyzing economic time series data. He holds a master’s in statistics and a doctoral degree in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
Stock’s recent work examines the evolution of the U.S. business cycle and the impact of monetary policy changes. He co-authored a leading introductory econometrics textbook and serves on professional boards, including the Academic Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
