James Stavitz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Athletic Training at Kean University's College of Health Professions and Human Services. He holds a Ph.D. in Health Science from Seton Hall University (2020), an M.S. in Management and Leadership (2011), and a B.S. in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine (2010), both from East Stroudsburg University.

His research focuses on athletic training education, mental health barriers in student-athlete retention, personalized nutrition for athletic performance, concussion management, and innovative orthopedic interventions.
