James Slate, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Economics at Catawba College, NC, where he has served since 2002 (tenured). He has held administrative roles including Dean of the Business School (2010-2011) and Associate Dean of External Affairs & Marketing (2016-2018). He also holds adjunct positions at institutions like the University of Maryland Global Campus and Buena Vista University. Dr. Slate earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tennessee (1995) and a B.A. from Christopher Newport University (1989).
