Dr. James Simpson serves as an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Philosophy. He currently teaches PHI 3641: Ethics and Innovation. Office Hours are held Mondays 9:30am-11:30am (Spring term) or by appointment. His office is located at Griffin-Floyd 331.
Research interests focus on ethical dimensions of innovation, particularly in technology and science. He explores how moral philosophy applies to emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, biomedical ethics, and corporate responsibility. His teaching emphasizes practical applications of ethical frameworks in modern challenges.
