James Sheppard is a Professor of Applied Health Data Science at the University of Oxford's Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, affiliated with Green Templeton College. As an NIHR Advanced Fellow, he focuses on cardiovascular disease prevention through data-driven approaches to optimize antihypertensive and statin therapies.
- Current research themes: Hypertension management, stratified medicine, and geriatric pharmacology
- Led trials: OPTiMISE, OPTIMISE2, PROOF-BP
